Ana Risquez
Ana Risquez is an artist, designer, and color interpreter who runs her studio practice, The Green Pickle, from Mexico City. Her work operates at the intersection of structure and emotion, with a distinct focus on how light, geometry, and color theory dictate the frequency of a physical space.
Risquez’s visual language is a refined integration of places lived. Her relationship with light began in Caracas, where nature taught her about contrast and spatial vitality, before she went on to study the architecture of storytelling through design in New York. Today, the profound quality of daylight and cultural richness of Mexico City infuse her entire practice.
Her studio, The Green Pickle, emerged in 2022 during her pregnancy, born from a playful, intimate name that quickly evolved into her artistic alter ego. While lighthearted in origin, the studio is deeply serious about harmony, sacred structure, and the energy that vibrates between colors.
